(don't) forget your lunch

Hi! I'm Sam. I don't really cook...I think I just "assemble" food so I really like to make bento! I try to post as much as I can but I disappear for extended periods of time depending on my schedule :) I overwhelm myself sometimes, what can I say?

If you like me, check out my other blog forgot my head for my other creative, non-food things. Like fashion, because that's kind of what I'm studying at university.

christmas bentos

Before these get too redundant I have some Christmas bento pictures from a bento gathering I had at the beginning of December (I would say party, but really it was just 3 of us) that I thought I should share…considering I haven’t posted anything since the summer I’d say I am long overdue for a post.

Anyway, I’m still alive! Look at that! Barely, since school has been kicking my ass for the past 4 months and will continue to do so until April, but here I am!

I made bubble tea (it was mediocre, I was sleepy/sick, but it looks pretty)

Jess brought some DELICIOUS cupcakes (thanks love!)

And of course we made bento ^_^

more bento birthday

My lovely friend Hayon/delinquent tumblr-er (who I demanded bring her DSLR to my birthday party ^_^;) put her pics of facebook for me yesterday, so I thought I would share some of my faves!

Kitty cupcakes >.< If you remember my bento party over the winter break my friend Lili brought me a cute cupcake kit so I thought it would be appropriate for the occasion <3 And beautiful flowers from Mona! What wonderful friends I have!

bento party!

Last Thursday I had some friends over for a bento party, as a kind of post-exam/holiday celebration. It was so much fun! I’m stealing these photos from my friend Hayon, as she brought her beautiful DSLR <3

My lovely friend Lili brought me the cutest cupcake kit. Kittens!

We cut up a lot of carrots. They had fun with my veggie cutters.

And made a huge mess of my kitchen ;)

I taught them how to make rice ball penguins and then set them to work. My friends are so creative! Everyone made such different bentos. I guess I couldn’t have expected anything less from such talented ladies <3
